In 11 months of 2022, the number of CBU cars imported into Vietnam was nearly 3,300 cars higher than in the whole year of 2021.

According to the latest data released by the General Department of Customs, the volume of CBU cars imported into Vietnam in the first half of December was 11,769 vehicles of all kinds, with a total turnover of more than 219 million USD.

Compared to the same period last month, imported CBU cars decreased by 25.8% in volume and 28.2% in value of turnover.

Although the number of imported CBU cars is higher than in 2021, car manufacturers in Vietnam have prepared plans to assemble domestically many popular models such as Veloz Cross, Avanza Premio of Toyota or other models. BMW cars distributed by Thaco. Among them, two popular MPV models in the domestic version of Toyota are ready and will be handed over to Vietnamese customers as soon as possible.
